Chicken Marbella - Magnificent!!

The genesis of this recipe is unusual. I read the book "The Gown: A Novel of the Royal Wedding" by Jennifer Robson during the Covid-19 pandemic. The book is absolutely wonderful - historical fiction! It is touching and well-written. In the book, there is talk of Grand-Mere's Friday Night Chicken which makes your mouth water as mentioned and re-made throughout the book. The unusual ingredient - PRUNES! Also mixed with this are green olives. Well- the perfect balance of mildly sweet and salty along with an interesting texture note! At the same time, I read the book, I was getting weekly emails from New York Times Cooking and along came The Silver Palate's Chicken Marabella. The recipe can be found there. This recipe is very similar from what was written in the book. So this is the Silver Palate version. The chicken needs to marinate overnight. It is absolutely delicious and pretty as well! Really recommend!!
